We are in the midst of our big community Thanksgiving meal at our church.  It's kind of crazy and I am thrilled to get away for a few minutes of quiet to check the board and say thanks for all your conversation and friendship over the year.

Hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving!

Watts' Tops

Thanksgiving Day is American.  Being thankful should be world wide.  I am truly thankful for family, friends, (including top spinning friends), and for my God.   ;)

Happy Thanksgiving all   Get full and have a great time with family.

After the big meal all 3 granddaughters wanted to play tops (grandpa you throw it but let me hold it).  It is a start!  I, we, have so much to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Lot to be thankful for.

Had lunch with grandparents, and showed them tops! ;D

Darren, I am sure your grandparents are very proud of having a grandson who is national champion!  :o I don't know if Dick is dreaming of one of his granddaughters becoming one, but I am sure he will be proud of any progress they make in topspinning.

I wasn't allowed to throw tops during the Thanksgiving dinner  :P but I did open a bottle of wine using the corkscrew trophy!

Ahhhhh.......Jorge gives thanks for the corkscrew trophy!

Happy Thanksgiving in 2018.  Another day with a crazy big meal at the church but I had a couple little tops to show people on my cell phone.  That helped to break up the day a bit.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving Day (USA).  I was in Canada for their Thanksgiving Day earlier this year so I had a double dose of thanksgivings this year.

I see Jorge has had a little over a thousand posts a year since 2009!!!

I hope you didn't eat so much turkey that you cannot spin a top!

Happy Thanksgiving!

An old post with a current message.  Hope everyone has a good thanksgiving.  And meanwhile, Ta0 has had several more thousand posts!!!

May your Thanksgiving fill you with joy without indigestion!

Very thankful for our new SoCal home -- especially for the bench with a fabulous ocean view just 2 minutes away by bike. Sit down, and stress just melts away.

Boxes everywhere, nearly all tops and LEGO in storage, and no idea where anything is, but just moved in enough to cook a passable Thanksgiving dinner.

However, thanks to remodeling, I do have 3 working tops to spin:
1. Gray shower valve guide, 10 30 sec by hand, just begging for a high-speed starter.
2. White twisted ring top, 1 of 4 LEGO tops not in storage, 15 sec, minimal wobble before the move.
3. Stacked paper disks from light fixture packaging on a LEGO core, 45 sec with minimal wobble when disks were still flat
Art is how we decorate space, music is how we decorate time ... and with spinning tops, we decorate both.

So we celebrate on both coasts together. We are on the Atlantic (NC outer banks) with son, daughter-in-law and the three granddaughters. Who are now in high school and college and no longer want to hold the top. [see earlier post in this thread]. It was a very blessed day, good food and lots of fun. Hope everyone had a happy, happy. Another year, another Thanksgiving holiday in the US. I hope you are having a good time with family and friends.

Not a very spintop-related holiday, but any excuse is good to throw a top!
