Sadly, no progress. I stopped playing with skill toys for the most part due to being busy with other things. About the only "big thing" skill toy related was taking pictures for a "throw of the day" project that I may or may not continue with on my Facebook account.

About the only thing I can say I've done is that I've begun using a second string with my Love tops. The stock string is fine for throwing, boomerang and loads of other tricks, but it's too short for doing corkscrew, but when I use a longer string with a spare button, I can nail corkscrew using these tops no problem. The only other progress is that arm walker is a bit easier using the heavier fixed top Quicksilver Hybrid top. I'm currently still trying to find the Spintastics Hornet HP tops for sale in a regular bearing tip, and a regular fixed tip. I may have to call Spintastics for those.

In the meantime, I'm super busy preparing for a show in 2 weeks, and then another big show 3 weeks after that, and then a major 4 day event the week after that, then hoping to be working sound production at the National YoYo Contest in later September.

I haven't lost any enthusiasm, just not sufficient time.

the Earl of Whirl

Love to hear about the enthusiasm.  Sorry about the lack of time.  I am familiar with it, as (I am sure) all of the other people on the forum.

Like Kirk says, eating is a good thing!
Happiness runs in a circular motion!!!

I'm retired with no wood lathe. And the family does not want a lathe around. But I'm still able to teach tops, and make them once in a while. Life is GOOD.
