5 String Binds (set up to other tricks)
« on: May 10, 2015, 09:26:15 AM »

In other threads there has been lots of talk about string binds.  (The beginning of Gyro Flop, Mach 5 and others)
So with out any of those tricks here are 5 different ways.

very nicely done sir. we now have a difinitive archival video for bind methods to refer to  ;)

edit: out of all the bind methods i think your new one is the smoothest and most aesthetically pleasing there is

Great video!
I was not aware that Dazzling Dave and Shootist had their own binding styles! Thanks for documenting it!  :D
I will definitely add the Kirk bind to my repertoire.

"No toque" films? Is that a reference to Jack films?
The ending was really funny!  ;D

PS: There is also a very advanced bind: the air bind. It is so difficult I never do it  ::)

Yep, I have never even begun to think about all those different styles before.  Very good video.  Also a very good laugh at the end!!!

The Shootist Style may have been invented by Eli, but Shootist was the one that taught me.
The so called Kirk bind causes the top to flip the other way on a Gyro Flop.

Wow. Darn near perfect timing. That's on the list of things for me to start working on soon. I'm downloading this and putting it on my tablet devices for "on the go reference material". Thank you!

Nice Video Kirk, I never knew that I had my very own Bind style. I'm sure someone at Worlds showed me the bind and I was just passing on the wealth of spintop knowledge. But hey I appreciate the credits.
Keep up the great videos and looking forward to seeing y'all in Miamisburg.

Great Bind video Kirk.

I think the hardest (and possibly most fun) part of throwing mostly by myself is that I do not even know I am coming up with different ways/styles of doing things. But after seeing your breakdown, I thought to myself.....yes, that is the way I do it!

I appreciate your pointing it out for my learning benefit!
