That is a great freestyle patch application video! You clearly show that you can regenerate the spin with ease, enough to wire walk in the middle of it. Great job!

The snag towards the pictures behind you was more scary than funny!

thank you mr neff!!  ;D only a top spinner would be able to guess what the erratic tapping was lol yup it was the string hitting the couch and my pants lol and the low old film reel noise was the ceiling fan  :D

thank you very much ta0 that means alot to me  :) what you didnt see was the giant window on the right that was only saved by the fact that the top hit the couch instead  8) my sister would not have been a happy cookie @-@

That was GREAT, I can't do that yet. I love the Tricks, but I love thinking about ways to make a Trompo. Right now I'm thinking about a 4 3/8 hallow black delrin, with threads to keep it together, and straight tip. On a CNC LATHE, you would have to charge at least $200.00 for one.
And that would be making a batch of eight. The delrin stock alone is over $400.00 plus everything else. We are dead.

Jack!
You are no hack!!
There seems to be nothing you lack!!!
Even when the top gets off track...
You dig it out of the crack and are ready for another attack!!!!

Seriously, nice job.  I am thrilled to see your progress.

Dear Cecil.  You may not have noticed that sometimes Jim and I start rhyming for no reason.  It makes us laugh.  It may not be something others enjoy, but in my little mind it adds levity to the board.

I also like Jack.  I admire his efforts at top spinning and love to see his progress.  I can tell from the way Jim writes that he likes Jack, also.  The Jack cracks are not meant to say anything about not liking him.  They are just meant in fun.

I hope you can accept our attempts at humor.

So........with that in mind...........I say.........

Sorry Jack
If you felt any attack
I sometimes have a knack
To want to make a crack

Hope no one has a panic attack
Or worse, a heart attack
I want everyone to come back
Including Jack and my new friend Zack

thank you cecil!! yup me too its always on the back of my mind the ambition to make a larger sized playable top. not dead yet! im still a little unclear as to why one couldnt just up the size using the same plastics and techniques to produce a larger sized top (im sure someones explained this to me before but im a dense cookie  ;D ) i mean even if it cost over $50 id still be interested at least if it was well made that is but yeah theres always tomorrow that maybe someone will figure out how to do it cost effectively right   :-\

Jack, you are a good sport!

By the way, if you are looking for larger sized plastic tops you need to talk to johnm.  He has figured out how to make several sizes and revealed some new BIGGER ones at the Miamisburg fest this weekend.  Wow, are they sweet!!!  He has all kinds of great tips and ideas.
