I was outside mowing and doing some other yard work and ran across some finger spinners and crushed pieces from the night of wild topiata. This makes two years in a row where that activity is the gift that keeps on giving! Such good memories. Many thanks to all who came and helped support this event in one way or another.
There are a few things I still have to wrap up before giving this thread a rest. Yes, ta0, I did receive your items from worlds 2014. Thanks for the piece of mirror and the battle top area (I think it is a broken water holder that goes under vases). I appreciate the connections to the great Prague event.
I have so many dreams for the Hall of Fame and Topland. The cool thing is that others are sharing my hopes and dreams. Many thanks to the many who have helped make this such a special place for top spinners. The rest of the world doesn't get it. Yet, for one night a year this is a hopping place because of the stories and the exchange of ideas and dreams. I could not ask for anything better!
I ran across this article about our event. They did a nice job writing it and including all kinds of good information. The sad news is that I don't think it brought any people to our festival. I have contacted the city about the possibility of moving to a big stage in the middle of the car show for next year. That could give us a lot of nice exposure and more participants.
Anyway, here is the link to that article. How many top spinners names do you recognize?
