In Smyrna, GA, USA we have 3 to 6 people spinning each Sunday after church.  But this is nothing compared to the stories I have heard about spinning every day after school in Honduras and Mexico.
Last Sunday Ivan (4.5 years old) had only 2 non spinners in about 20 throws. Look out Tyler!

I just saw Dick Church, the mayor of Miamisburg.  We were at a favorite top spinning hangout - Bullwinkle's Top Hat Bistro.  He is up for re-election and had a meeting there about his campaign.  We were talking about the state of the city and other items when I happened to mention this list.  He beamed and said "we are number two!".  I told him I would make a copy of the list and get it to him.  It is so neat to have a mayor who cares about us and top spinning.

I didn't tell him we made ta0's list of top ten cities in the world.  He will undoubtedly be excited about that, too.

Well, my wife and I are at the Denver airport.  Sadly, we have not seen any spintop action, despite the number of high quality spinners in the area!  On the way back we have a longer layover.  Maybe we will encounter some whirling activity in 11 days?

Now we are on to Portland and then Eugene and the Olympic trials of track and field.

PS.....this is also the city where the Chipotle restaurant started!!!

You're beyond me.

If you're in Elk Grove, this might be a good week for meeting up, depending on my kids' swim schedule. I'm often out at a park in the later afternoon.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
I am in S. Sacramento so I know Elk Grove fairly well. Who knows? Maybe there are more like us out there?!

There are. One of my friends moved from Elk Grove to Carmichael. He got me into tops. Another friend is trying tops, but lives in Woodland.

I'm technically in S. Sac myself, like a stone's throw away from Elk Grove. If you know where the Wackford park is, we can maybe meet up soon.

Hello Diz.  It is always great to hear of another top spot nene on the west coast.  Maybe you will be able to be a part of our spinners at Nationals?

Welcome to the forum Diz!
I am glad to hear that you know of other spintop players out there.

I used to fly to Sacramento when nationals was in Chico. I hear that this year it will be again in the Los Angeles area. I was hoping for the Bay Area so I could visit Cecil  :(

Anyone: Are there spintop events in Denver that I should know about? I'd love to go. Thanks.

There are 3 or 4 world class top spinners in Denver!
The Rocky Mountain Yo-Yo club would be the best way of meeting them. They are also on this forum but I am not sure how often they come by.
