As my mother used to say, copy the good, not the bad . . .

Flavio may be able to tell us more about this, but it appears to be a new top by the Brazilian yo-yo manufacturer Fenix.

The crown shape looks kind of familiar . . .  :-X

Thanks, Flavio.

"Keep Calm and Play Fênix Spintop"

That is a strange slogan.

I cannot keep very calm when I see the Duncan groove. If they had corrected the design mistake I would be calmer, I guess.

The easiest cheat for a teacher to catch is when one student copies from another student but their answer is wrong!  Here Duncan has a design that does not work as it did not follow its own patent from the 60's.  And that is what Fênix copied.  The arrow would have been a great idea: not only it serves to engage the rip cord launcher, but it would have indicated the direction in which the string has to be placed, IF the groove was asymmetric as it should.

On the other hand, I am very glad there are companies promoting spintop play in Brazil.  I have always believed that the potential for this skill toy in Brazil is enormous.

As an old saying goes:
Nothing creates everything is copied, originality and hard to be found nowadays.

TA0 the "Keep Calm and Play Phoenix Spintop" and a phrase that people here in Brazil uses for everything, just change the final "Keep Calm and .........." I do not think is the phrase mark but will also know and am glad that more factories to make more models.

Trompillo and worth it even if it is equal but I think he must have their differences may have been based on Duncan, but here in Brazil only had Spinfever that manufactures Spinning tops I am particularly pleased that another brand tops also do I keep seeing you playing the tops on youtube and I wondered if one of these will come to Brazil but for now I have nothing S8, BK, Spintastic, Premier among others thanks to Larry D Friend who sent me some to appreciate the art of spinning tops.

Jim expression for Diet BK, BK is "Skinny, crush, lightweight" within other synonyms lol ...

I understand that it is a very good mas companies of tops in brasil and the whole world, am glad much of this for the players of tops of brasil, I would buy a couple of these tops if they were selling them in my country, I like the colors very much, the rose in geniál, but I do not like the idea of the plagiarism, only it is it.

It seems like one of their yoyo models, the Veloz, also seems to be copying another american company.
