« on: June 04, 2013, 08:37:28 AM »

From the American Woodturner Mag:  Calendar of Events: June 17-23, AFTAB (French Association for Artistic Woodturning) collaboration seminar: collaboration2013. To register contact Alain Mailland,

Were you aware?  Do you know of them?  Is there any interest?

hello Dick hi all
thank you for the news ;;-)
yes i am aware of the AFTAB activities
i am a member of their forum where you can see very nice and arty turnings.
Like us , they give very good advice , with an encouraging attitude, the words written are always nice and the few rants i've read mostly finished with gentleman agreements
they are really into hollowing, burning, texturing, using off-center chucks, but also (like woodturning magazine)they like old tools , rare wood essences++
plus the french touch with long talks on interpreting the works..////
