Another new member. My short introduction.

Hello everybody!

I have been following this forum for a long time and finally I have decided to become a member. This way I can participate.

I have played yo-yo in the past but I didn't make a lot of progress. Then I tried spintops and I like them more than yo-yos. I'm not a very skilled player probably because I don't play regularly and perhaps my natural ability is somewhat limited. I just know some basic and advanced tricks. I'm practising some regenerations tricks but I'm not able to do them yet.

I'm from Spain and I'm also a member of the forum of Pulpowsky that some of you already know.
That's all for now. I hope my English will be understood.

WELCOME, from all of us here and from me. when you first get into spintopping it may seem difficult but practicing will help you develop those skills.

Another warm welcome and complement on your English.  As a former school teacher, I feel qualified to say your way ahead of a lot of us in English. ;)

Welcome Cattus.  Congratulations on stepping up your loyalty to the world of Spin Tops by becoming a contributing member of this board! 

Is there a story behind your user name?  I don't know if anyone else here has this problem but I keep thinking that your name is "Cattacus", like from the Kirk Douglas movie from the 60's, "I am ...Cattacus", but more like a diminutive feline with Coprolalia (Sorry that was a real weak pun :-\)

Cattus means "cat" in Latin. In classical Latin is better to use "feles" because "cattus" is more modern.
I began to use this nickname in the Spanish forum of Yoyo4All.The only reason is that I like cats. And that's all the story. So Cattus has no relation with Cattacus or Coprolalia.
There is a book written by Dr. Seuss that is called "The cat in the hat" that has been translated into Latin and is called "Cattus Petasatus". Probably that was the first place where I saw that name. I have not read that book (but I saw the movie).
