New string of videos

I've edited a couple of videos and have footage for several more, all covering issues that most beginners have.  I did these very quickly, and I would change the way I say some things, but I feel there is a great need for these videos and perfection can wait.  I would rather do these with some graphics and text, then do them in different languages, but there's this whole "life" thing that keeps getting in the way :)  So after all those excuses I still invite you all to share your critiques.

Here are the first two:

How to tape a Duncan Spin Top

How to balance a spin top in your hand

Exceptionally well done, THANK YOU!

Rats!  I can't get them on my computer at the church.  Will have to work on that.

Lots of info crammed there that will make life easier for beginners.  Great contribution!
I look forward to the rest.

I would just correct the glare on the table as it is distracting.

I thought the correct amount of string was relative to the height of your body, have I been misinformed? D:

Edit:
Also, I just now realized after looking at Neff's site that he is THE Chris neff from the Duncan instructional video I watched so many years ago...Holy biscuits that's crazy.

Sorry Blithen.  You have been misinformed!  String length relative to the height of your body is all yo-yo talk, most often used when string is shortened for smaller players.  String length in top spinning is all related to the top you throw......and a bit to your style.  For example, ta0 uses much longer string length than I usually use.  But then, I have learned to use much much longer string for the corkscrew challenge.  Old dogs can learn new tricks, just slower.

Funny thing is, you were most likely misinformed about the string length by Steve and I in the How to Be A Player Vol. 2 video.  Wups!

Once you've learned how to manipulate the throw to get the result you want you can use any size string you are comfortable with.  I can't stand a string that is much longer or shorter than 68 inches.  But for the beginner it is very important that the string be the "correct" length so they get the correct result from a tip-up throw.

Haha, that's exactly where I thought I got that tip from! That's awesome.
But I'm doing perfectly fine with about a 60 inch string right now, though I do feel like I'd enjoy it being a little longer. ;)
Even managed a shaky corkscrew landing last night!

A matte surface would look better.  I may re-shoot them all eventually... with some help.

well done it goes to the essential , very clear
the only minor critic/possible improvement would be to slow down the talk a little ..it might be easier for non native-speakers audience
but then the images speak by themselves mostly ;)

I was making fun of Ta0 for being so critical.
