Hello together,

i´m new in the forum and new with spinning tops.

I bought a Saturno spinning top and trying to start, but it´s not vertical when it lands on the floor. and also it´s not always working to throw it. The string is twisting it selve.

Maybee some can help me.

The string is twisting it self

While you wrap the string around the top, let the lose end hang free so it does not create a twist.

The traditional American way of throwing is with the tip pointing up. If the top is pointing correctly at the moment you release it, AND you have the correct length/width of string for that top, it will flip 180 degrees and land vertical.  Would it be possible for you to upload a video of yourself throwing? Or at least give us more details of what you are doing and what is happening?

Hey Simon!  Great to have you here with us.  Lots of great people here!!!

ta0 has some good tips for you.  I might add that sometimes people twist their wrist at different angles upon release without realizing it.  Try to make sure your wrist is in the same place when releasing and when making adjustments to get it spinning right!

thanks for the tips. The twisting itselve is much better. The top is fliping also 180 degrees, but than makes circles on the floor, where the tip is more outside. It does not stand vertical at the beginning.
I use the string which was in the top.

I tried to upload a move. But it did not work. how can i do this?
