What do you spin?
« on: November 14, 2012, 03:35:26 PM »

Right now I have a BK and a Watts Top. I like playing with both though I can't play the watts in the house due to my potential to break things. I have been looking at Strummol8 tops and I'll be picking up one of those soon. I was wondering what tops you all spin. I'd like to see what is available and where to buy them.

I'll also be picking up some more BKs for the kids so they can learn too.

The S8 STB 2.0 is the best spin top ever made IMO.

my favorite thing is probably always going to be the lower half of my quicksilver with a mutilated duncan ripcord tip glued in place, i don't get so close to feeling the top rolling down the string like it's an extension of my arms with any other top.

but the s8 giulias are great especially with one-way-bearing, and i'm working with my s8 loves recently, they're funner than i expected...

also i still love duncan bearing kings with clean bearings.

I like to practice with a diet RC. When I can do a trick with that top, I know I can do it with any top.

The QSH was the first top I loved. The Cuper was the second and the STB 2.0 is my current dearest.

SodaTop is my mistress.

The S8 Giulia is the top I spin most often, both Fixed and Bearing.
The Trompos Space Neptuno is another favorite of mine.

I am spinning everyday my old and faithful Spintastics Hollow Point (with Bulldog cap and custom tip).  But I may switch and try a different top tomorrow . . .

I have to confess that I have done very little spinning as of late.  Too many things pushing me and a unicycle challenge staring me in the face.  In order to get in some more spin time maybe I should start throwing later at night........maybe with something that has it's own illumination?

Thanks guys for the top list. It's cool to see what everyone else is throwing.

Earl it is dark when I get home from work. So I have been throwing while watching TV. It's worked out pretty good so far.
