Yeah! I think I will be able to make it again this year. Val and Dale said goodbye at worlds with a "see you at nats!", so they should be there, as well as Alan and Spin Queen. I expect poptop to try to win the nats title, he has a good chance. Hey, Topper, can you drive or get a ride to Chico this year?

Sounds like a good crowd.  Like Jim in Paris, I will be home dreaming of attending some year.  Hope all the top spinning activities go well.

I can't make it this year, so Richie knock yourself out with the trophy! I'll be sad to miss it, but I'll be doing a solo show in NYC. As good a reason as any to miss it i guess. Let's just assume that i would've won the top contest ;)

That this mean that I will win the first ever Richy trophy for the UBU?  Considering my past performances at battles, the answer is probably not  :(

Anyway, I am sure Richy's trophy will be awesome.  And we will miss you, Mark!

Oops! I must be getting to closer to Mike's age!  This would be the 2nd Richy's trophy for UBU.  Last year we had this one:

How could I forget such a gory trophy?  :o

Yippee!!!
I bought my plane ticket Friday night (I am getting to Sacramento that Friday at 2PM).

The format should be the same as worlds, 3 minutes freestyle, any top can be used (but Alan should confirm).
As the last couple of years, it will be on a wooden stage in a grassy area across the plaza from the main stage.

Have fun with those battles.  I look forward to seeing the new trophy.  This old man will wait patiently for ta0 to catch up to me in age.

Sounds great, are we to bring our own battle tops or will there be battle tops available for sale at the time of battle?

Alan is moving to Denver?   With Jon and mtntop already there (is Darren back?) that city will continue to be a hotbed for spintop play!  I think it would be a prime location for a regional spintop contest. Actually, they already have one together with yo-yos, but it is on the street with very little grass available.   I say a spintop only event at a park . . .  I would come.
