Birthday Tops!
« on: March 12, 2012, 01:51:53 PM »

Hi all, I remember mentioning that I went to the Museum in Chico on my birthday last year, but I don't know if I ever posted a picture.

There is a brand new, unplayed hollowpoint in that case and they (Bob and Thad) would not entertain offers. I told them it was my birthday. :'(

If you are planning a heist, I also want some stuff from that case . . .   >:D

Perhaps one day one of your tops will be sharing the display with the Hollow Point  ;)

I didn't see anything in there that you don't have. What did I miss?

Champions' tops are displayed on the other side of the case I am leaning against. Until I learn ghost catch and behind the back and under the leg, I am afraid that one of my tops being in there is a long shot. I am guessing I should invent my own tricks as well. But, thanks for the encouragement!

Ha, that store is locally owned and operated, committed to providing high quality, educational toys to their customers, they give a free yoyo seminar to all comers every Saturday, and they have some of the most friendly staff I have ever encountered. Chico is very lucky to have a store like Bird In Hand (I have shopped there since I was a little kid). Plus, they make great yoyos (The Chico YoYo Company). Check them out: http://www.birdinhand.com/store/pc/home.asp

That said, I would totally steal that HP from them.  >:D >:D >:D

Oh, there are some. But there is one really rare (in fact, the only one I have ever seen). I won't tell you which one as there are other collectors reading this that will bid against me if another one ever surfaces on ebay . . .  :-X
