Rats.  I can't make it.  But the good news is Mark will be in Miamisburg the weekend before this for our yo-yo day!  He can take a report down to the Lone Star State about events here in the Star City.
Happiness runs in a circular motion!!!

I am so excited! I imagine SirBoot32 will be there and perhaps somebody else? I guess this year I'll be going up there the 3 days of the festival.
I need to plan something good!  I may be the one needing to get some snow leds to Texas for a spintop round up.  Let's see, a new fire top prototype . . . With the car I can bring the collection of big tops, the skittles board  . . .

Mark, if you have an extra day I'll drive you to San Antonio and back . . .

I'm going to try to make it up this year.. the dates just always seem to be bad timing. I'm getting back from a week long photography thing in Vegas the day before, but I'm going to try to make it up on the saturday at least.

It would be great if you could make it, Kyle!

I would definitely like to go.  My nephew got a juggling kit for Christmas and has been learning to spin.  Hasn't been doing juggling yet since his arm is in a cast.

Will there be much top spinning or will it be just juggling?

Most years I am the only bona fide top spinner but this year SirBoot32 and Mark will also be there. I have given well-attended workshops in the past so there are always a few others that throw a little.  If I don't give a formal workshop this time (not sure) I will still be teaching one-on-one.  I may organize a top battle for the first time. This year will be at a new venue so I am not sure how the space will work.

Jugglefest is a lot of fun if you are interested in trying new things. There are beginning workshops and lots of unusual props laying around that you can try.  The Public Show on Saturday night is wonderful. This show used to be free but I think that will change this year.

I hope to see you there!

Jorge,
I would have loved to come to San Antonio for a day, but unfortunately I have a tight schedule. I get in Friday evening just before the festival starts, and leave Sunday night.

Martin, there will be lots and lots of juggling, but I think that with 3 top spinners there we will have lots of top spinning too.

Kyle (I think this is the right Kyle), could you bring that "secret" lefty Duncan proto with you?

Well, I'll try to stuff the car with spinning stuff.

I believe the latest proto can be easily changed from righty to lefty.  Anyway, he HAS to bring the metal BK protos!

Metal tipped? It's the tip, the tip is the issue.  :-\

The prototypes are all metal: aluminum body, steel tip.  This is the prototype with one-way-bearing that Felix used at Worlds in 2009:

I love it when these these things make an appearance--it gives hope.

Even more I'd like to try one...
