Happy new year to top spinners around the globe!

I just heard on the radio about some of the new year's eve customs around the world.  I love the story about people in Spain wearing red underwear to bring in the new year.  I also enjoyed the 12 grapes tradition (also in Spain), where one eats a grape along with each ringing of the bell at midnight.

It seems like we need a top spinning custom.  I am going to try to talk my wife into letting me kiss her while my top is spinning at midnight.  Then I can brag about having my top spin over two years.

It looks like in Korea this is a three day celebration.  In Germany they like to tell the future and they often do it with molten lead dropped into cold water.  They predict the future based on the shapes the lead takes!

I offered my wife the official title of "Countess".  This is common with the Earls of the world.  Sadly, she said to "countess her out".

I just gave her the option of Mrs. Earl or Mrs. Whirl and she just gave me a dirty look.  One more of those looks and there will be no kiss to welcome in the new year.

Happy new year to all.  I did it.  I have to brag about spinning my top over two years........maybe a new tradition?

I wish you a happy new year  full of gyroscopic action , fun and sharing.

a very prolific year has just gone by :
 with all the new contributors to the forum, Lourens ' book, the uprising of new brands, the super fast progression of many new players, the fabulous ineptt raffle ... just to name a few elements ....////
above all,  friendship and passion keep us together, rain or shine , good or bad mood ,fix-tip or bearing ..... ;) ;) and that  feeeeels  gooooood!!
