Evil Knievel caught on tape
« on: September 28, 2009, 04:40:22 AM »

I decided to give my old Evil Knievel trick a try with a Trompo Bearing tonight, and I managed to catch it on tape.  Not pretty yet, but you get the idea.

Great Queen! That's what we need, people posting more trick videos!

Until the slow motion I didn't realize you were grinding the top up your forearm before getting into the one hand trapeze: Evil Knievel is a pretty extreme trick!

Do you think your progress on Apogee has to do with your hair getting to look like Daveid's?  :D
Anyway, you look hot!  :-*

Lol, Ta0.  I don't think you could say I look hot in the video considering I look like a slob but perhaps you're right about my progress w/Apogee b/c my hair looks like Davids ;)

The only time I really find myself practicing tops anymore is after Lynne's and the pets have gone to bed, and usually I'm playing guitar instead.  But last night after working on a Pez display, and eating  all of the old candy that I found with them, I found myself sugared up and distracted so I randomly picked up a TB and tried out the old Evil Knievel trick.  After a few throws I wanted to see what it looked like so out came the camera and that's the reason for the less than camera ready appearance.  My biggest problem w/the trick is my throw.  I have to work on getting the top to come back at just the right angle....that, and I need a wrist ban to lessen the bruising ;)

Sorry, I keep having problems w/that damn Quote button.

That's a great trick!!!  I'm glad the slowmo was there otherwise I don't think I would've caught the whole thing.

P.S. Not something I'd want to try with a QS.
