I like the unpainted toplets--polished wood is good. ;) Catching twinspins always gives me trouble...nicely done.

I have thrown quite a few different nested tops and found them all to be difficult.  I guess it's just the nature of the beast.  Very satisfying when you finally land them both.  Believe it or not one of my favorite tops to do tricks with is a Premier brand nested top that I used teflon tape to basically lock the 2 pieces together.  Wrapped around the small top and then inserted back into the bottom.  I have a wooden Duncan Twin Spin still in the package, I don't have the heart to open it.

You made the twin spin look like a million.  Thanks for posting.
  A suggestion I got about 50 years ago from Jim Schreiber.
 Have the top point out about 1/16 or so inch,  This keeps the tops from sticking together and makes it much easier to handle. I used to do that one regularly and then put the halves together while spinning.  Great trick. :)

Good job Larry!  Serrell is right, nested tops are generally terrible to boomerang (unless you had a bunch to pick and match from). The only production exception was the Spintastics Hollow Point with a Sidewinder nested inside.  Probably because the HP is much heavier it gives the nested top stability and you can do reliably the "double trouble" (twin boomerang).

Jenicks - agreed... the hat is very cool!  I tried to talk Larry into adding music.  Something Italian would fit the setting nicely.
