Indian Street Performer with Spinning Top
« on: September 05, 2009, 09:08:39 PM »

Here is a link to a video of an Indian Street performer with a variety of tricks.  He does a nice spinning top bit at around 1:40.  If you are easily made queasy, you might want to skip the sword swallowing that makes up the first 1:39????

Enjoy!

Thanks, Don! That's is a great video: a spintop as magic plus fabulous rising rope trick (a classic but seldom seen).

Spintops have always reminded me of magic. I think I am going to practice the top at the end of the pole trick. It is one thing to keep the top with little precession, but he manages to do it with quite a bit (and then straightens it up.)

yeah great trick
it's obvious that tops share something with magic

the rope trick seems so "unnatural"  done on a street stage
these indians are real artists !

thanx for the link

Impressive control--he makes it look too easy.  I loved the rope trick too.

Ohh! That action gives me fear, I mean, makes feel fear. My congratulations to that brahmàn. It seems that is a wooden top, with a very long  metal tip. Very dangerous. I can`t think what would happens if he hesitate and the top would fall on his face.
Really, I would think twice...twice? a million of times before to dare myself to do that trick.¡

But some day I will try it. Of course, the first attemptives will be covered my face with a mask of security...is better to prevent accidents when you are a begginer in some trick....
