Mini Premier boomerang
« on: April 15, 2011, 09:18:41 AM »

Did anybody boomerang the mini Premiers gifts? The string it comes with is too long (or too thick) but it can be made to work. I have also done trapeze but no luck with roller coasters . . .  I did not get a Cometa Cobra as the rest of you did, but I got instead one of the first two prototypes of the Saturno (Pulp has the other one) made on a 3D printer: thanks Javier!  By the way, what other spintop manufacturer feels confident enough to give as presents tops from the competition?  :o

Haven't heard from Dizzy yet  ???

I got the mini to floor spin but haven't tried a boomerang yet.  On the Cometa, I had such a hard time getting the cap off!  I finally did but one of the tabs got cracked in the process.  Any body else have that problem?

On my 3rd try I landed the boomerang with the Mini...I needed to adjust the position of it in my hand a bit, but I can land it consistently.
Yes, the Cobra was difficult to open, fortunately for me the tabs did not crack.

Yes I did boomerang my mini, it is so much fun, it took me some tries to figure out the timing for the yank before it runs out of string.

Congrats to those who do anything with those little tops.  They are tough to toss or trick!

I agree ta0

I havent tried to boomerang it yet, I was thinking on making it a neckless charm :D
By the way, did anyone else notice that the Cobra is also a "mini", is smaller than a normal size Cobra
It plays good and looks great

I lost my mini behind the furniture after the second failed boomerang...

Got to move some furniture.

(I'm using an old yo-yo string; It will be good I think)

(got a few today!)

Mini boomerang achieved! I couldn't get the plastic cap ring to work for me, so I took that off and wound it old school.  A few tries to get the angle/pullback and its 'rang time  :D

The wire walker is definitely more difficult than the boomerang. Good job!

pplgrande: you are right, the Cobras were the smaller version (but I would not call them mini.)
