where were you when you found out Lennon was killed?
« on: December 08, 2010, 02:24:38 PM »

This question is all over the sports pages since many found out during Monday night football game.

I don't think I found out until I saw the paper the next morning.......but I am still thinking about it!

You know, when I started this thread I thought to myself........I'll wonder if RunBMC answers this and makes some comment about not being alive yet?

You little rascal!!!  You were much faster than I anticipated!

Could you please ask your mother and father for me?

My mom said she was sitting in a classroom.... Very upset

My dad said he was just banging on the drums when he heard (he used to play drums).

hi mike

that day i was in London and saw one of the wildest sold-out gig ever
by Madness and The Selecter
skin heads and punks and heavy reefer on the move
it was just around the "one step beyond " LP

at the end the announcer gave the bad news
the "the Selecter" played an encore based on beatles songs

Thanks for your response, Jim.  It's interesting that you were in London and you were able to share the moment with so many people.

I was living in a country house way off the beaten path south of Columbus, Ohio.  I shared the moment with only a couple people.
