i am privileged to say that i now have in my care a spintop made by mr. stohr @-@
this thing is beautiful isnt it!??!?
very well balanced and plays like a dream. im used to the "C" tip so it took a little getting used to the smaller tip on it but after that it was all systems ago 8)

Yes Mike, I went to the rifle stock factory and bought 250 pounds of colorwood cutoffs to sell at woodturning club meetings. A Maryland club wanted a spin top demo. They usually have world class woodturners so this was a real step down to have me but they learned a lot about tops. This was the prototype that I made to be sure that I could. The demo top was rushed due to not enough time left but they saw a few tricks with this one and seemed impressed. I could not think of a better home for it than Jack. :)

The colors are strange. I'm trying to be nice. BUT I CAN'T. I'm glad I haven't had any DRUGS or Alcohol in 25 years.

Cecil, what is wrong with blue, green, yellow, red, and grey? You should see some of the other color combinations that they use on rifle stocks!

It's the rainbow color order. So it is the natural order. :D

That is the coolest top! It brings to mind the graphic designs of Milton Glaser with all those colors. I like being able to see the Top in sections too.

ah see normally that would be the case, however i have tamed the colours contained in the spintop by binding its power
with grade "eh" string, now my eyes can enjoy its colour in my usual red/white canadian flag spectrum ;D
