Our friend, top spinner and string maker Chad Lunders is appearing on the (US) Ellen DeGeneres TV show tomorrow, Nov. 28th. It airs at 3:00pm CST (or check your local listings).
He will be attempting to break his world record. He recites Hamlets 'To be or not to be' soliloquy, while juggling machetes, while on a rola-bola, balanced on a picnic table. Real fast.
Here's his original record setting performance:

Yea Chad!!! We will all be rooting for him. He is such a great guy.
I will tell all my friends about the chadmeister.

:o :o :o I did not know Chad recited Shakespeare! :D
Ellen DeGeneres TV show is pretty impressive to have on your juggling resume!
I need to investigate this Record Setter website. Easier to apply than to Guinness Book of World Records. I think Guinness is risking to become irrelevant by not having a open searchable database of all their records.

Here's a 30 second teaser advert that has Chad as part of it!!

Chad fell off the rola-bola and the picnic table towards the end of the soliloquy :o but he did it with grace and safely, without stabbing Ellen with the knives ;) : an exciting routine! 8)

I saw the cllip the clip that Hulu put up of the 'talented viewers'. There was the soccer girl, the no-jointed piano player and Chad. Was there any more past the point where he fell off? I thought he looked like he was going to try it again, but the clip ended.

My wife recorded this for me. I just saw it. Good job, Chad. I know he probably wasn't too excited about it ending a little earlier than he wanted, but it was dramatic! It gave Ellen something to respond to and be shocked about.
I think Chad was trying to do it again, but Ellen said something about "that was all of it, wasn't it" and Chad graciously moved to line up with the other people. That soccer girl was amazing! The backwards playing piano player was pretty good too, but not as thrilling to me. Chad did a good job of hanging with the talent of the day. That was the Chad I remember. He's a good guy.....and a good performer.
Congratulations, Chad the chadmeister!

Here is a link to the clip on the show website - not sure how long it will be up?

It says Ellen had three amazingly talented people!!! Go Chad. It also says this was our best hidden audience talents yet! That a way, Chad Lunders!!!

The craziest thing just happened! For Christmas my wife got me the December edition of Mental Floss. It is a fun magazine that says "you feel smarter after reading it." One article was about the guy who started and runs the Record Breaker website. He was asked about his favorite record setter and he said "Chad Lunders when he recited Hamlet's "to be or not to be" soliloquy while juggling machetes on his rolla bolla!!!"
We have a star in our midst!
-
Wow! That he chose Chad's among thousands of record breakers is astonishing! Congrats Chad!

A friend posted a pic of the article at our juggling club page on Facebook. Let's see if this link works:

I read where Brooke Shields recently fell on her rola-bola and broke her leg. Jim Neff says that is why she should join us and stick to top spinning!!!
