It was turned from a small stick of Balsa wood, pretty soft and easy to turn. As usual, done on the drill. Tip was filed from a bolt. This time I managed to hollow out a fair bit of the inside. Paint job isn't too good, may clean it off and redo the paint. There is some paint on the tip of this super mini . . . was trying to make the tip look more like that of the real McCoy. ;D

You make me feel ashamed of owning a (metal) lathe and not having even attempted to make a top yet . . .
-
Nice Trevor! ......................................Time to get a lathe?
-
Nice! Looks like a stone top!

Haha, yeah, I think I should save up to get myself a lathe, if I can find a supplier here in Singapore (new matrimonial home is putting a hole in my pocket now :o). Was trying to work on a bigger block of pine yesterday but the drill didn't hold up :'(.

Here is one for sale near Singapore. It is used, but still looks good.
You could make some bigger tops with it.
I'm sure you could put it somewhere in your new matrimonial home. ;)
