I met top maker Romano Cheli, Il Trottolaio, at the Cremona Festival, two years ago, when he was 83 years old. I'm not sure if I bought one of his tops and I did not get his photo with Figaro, what I now regret.
Here is a beautiful documentary about him. The long version (28 minutes) has the option of English captions, the short version (10 minutes) doesn't.
