I was very funny. I was writing "top spinners"..very similar spinners=sinners
the latìn word "turbo" was the word to describe the ancient wooden tops when they spinned "tttrrrrr". Then i started to connect these ideas

Turbo now is related to all those fast, speed and quick things.
Turbina, turbio, turbulento..turbar...
Fast= in spanish and italian .."pronto" too said "presto"
"Pronto" is very similar to "trompo"   From "presto" you can do "es top"
"stop" almost equal "is top"
Ta0 said one like ....toupie "Utoupie"

"kreysel" means as circle as spintop in german. With that word you form in spanish "es el rey" = "is the king"

from "regenerations" you can extract "est regis, est rege" = is the king in latìn.

Trompo y trampa son muy similares. Muchas formas de trampas de hacen de lazos, sogas, cuerdas.
El "peòn" era el eje sobre el cual giraba la economìa feudal y quienes ma`s son sacrificados en el juego del ajedres.

The letter "T, t " correspond to the axis (ejes) de las representaciones gràficas del trompo. In many tongues, the toy "top" starts with "t" ¿muy curioso, no..ta0....ah TA0 too!
TA0= top art 0 (zero)
the  number 0 is like a circle, and circle is said in german kreisel, used too to say top.

a lot of noy usual words as ..transmigraciòn (of souls) transpiraciòn (the act to inhale the air, the breath of life, called prana in sanscrit tongue, the breath of life given for God to man to live)

transportaciòn ..tranquilidad...trueno...trizas..trompa..tromba...truco, triunfo..trinidad..triangulo...etc etc start the word with the couple "tr", the sound that tops do when they spin and that was vowelized by romans as "turbo"..tttttrrrrrr.....

strobiloi was the ancient name given in the old Greece to top. realize the case:

   t   u   r  b  o       s  t  r  o  b  i  l  o   i

       T   R     O           T      R     O     O

    T     R    O   M   P   O

     T  O  U  P  I  E

    T   R  O  T   O   L   L   A

                  P   E    O  N  Z  A

                  P     I    A    Ò

                 P   I   T  O  R  R  A

I hope you collaborate with more combination of words and verbal games and I open this TOPic waiting more feedback from all of you.
Grazie tutti!

As Jim (or was it Mark H.?) once said, the question is: "Toupie or not Toupie!"

Using one of Mike's expressions, you are something else, Salvador, REALLY something else! This little spintop community is full of unusual people, but you are over the top!

He really is something else.  This is a fascinating study about the names of tops and their connections.  I will have to look at it some more to digest it all.

 Here some new words:

                      s       t         r       o      m       b        o       l       i

                      s        t        r      u         m     m      o     l      l      o

                            m      a        e     l     s     t      r     o      m

Stromboli is a volcano that is in Sicilia, I guess. The volcano is a conic figure, similar to a top. and the word contains in itself almost the complete word "Trompo"          "sTROMboli"

Strummollo is a word from an italian dialect that means spinning top.   "sTRUMMollo"

Maelstrôm is a nordic word that it refers to that "remolino" in the sea that has a lot of power and I believe, according with the legend, is even to swallow ships. It`s like a tornado, like a twister in the sea. IT reminds me the model Tornado of the  brand Cometa.    "maelsTROM"

I came across around three years ago...I remember plugging a lot of those spin-top terms into the search box on e-bay.  Not much luck w/that.  Pretty cool stuff just the same though.

I ask it to a Vasco friend. Wait a bit.

Answer received: ZIBA its the name o Spintop in Euskera. The pronunciation is "Siba".

I'll actualize the tags I use in videos.
