Yes, I believe this is the first competitor from Honduras that we have had.

With Canada, now we are at 6 countries.

ta0

We have 20 competitors registered so far, 9 of which are in the Youth division.
There is a little over a month left to submit a video (June 16th).

I cannot promise it, but likely there will be some help for the winner(s) to attend the in-person contest in Mallorca, Spain.
It's also a very good opportunity to develop a routine and to practice for that contest. Or just to have a video to show your friends.
Don't miss it!

PS: No women registered yet: who wants to be a world (online) champ?  ;)

ta0

We have 34 competitors registered so far.

The Youth division is very popular with 16 players!  :) This bodes well for the future of the sport.

We do need more women: we have 2 confirmed of the minimum 5 required. Beth told me she will compete, but we would still need two more.

We have reached the minimum number of players in the Women division! Yeah!  :)

The Youth division (13 years old and under) is loaded: 19 competitors so far! :)

Keep the registrations coming! I would like more countries represented.

The deadline to register is this Monday (10th). The deadline to send the video is the following Sunday (16th).

Currently we have 56 competitors from 8 countries registered (Canada, Colombia, Honduras, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, Spain and USA).
I expect one more country, at least. Last year we had 64 competitors, so we should have about the same number, but with a significant younger average age.

The final count is 67 competitors from 10 countries!
Actually, registration ends at midnight today. There is still time to register!

France and Italy (Rocco!) added to the tally.

This beats last year's count of 64 competitors from 8 countries.

We will announce the judges in a few days.

Keep sending your videos. This will be another exciting contest!

Final count:

72 competitors from 12 countries!

The last country to be added to the list is Germany!
This is a first, thanks to forum member unini.

I look forward to watching all the routines. It's going to be fun!

PS: Jordi registered as representing Catalunya (Catalonia) not Spain. If we consider it separate from Spain, we have 13 countries :-)

Tonight is the deadline to submit the videos.

We have already received the routines for more than 75% of the competitors. There are many great and original routines! For what I have seen, the judges will have a tough time!

If you haven't received an email confirmation, we have probably not received the link to your video. Please, re-send it immediately to worlds2024@spintops.org.
Please, set your videos to Public, so everybody can start watching them. I will put up the links on the website late Monday.

These are the online judges:

Carlos Solis
Eli Hickerson
Jakub Konecny
Jon Gates
Jorge Alcoz (ta0)
Jose Madrigal
Kanta Tani
Tomohiro Tokunaga (Tock)
Valery Oliver

All are former world champs (open, traditional and women).

Good luck everybody!

You can watch all the entries for the 2024 online contest by clicking on the names on the list of competitors:

https://spintops.org/world-contest/2024-competitors/

If there is no video linked, the player didn't send the routine.
If you find any mistake, please notify me.

There are lots of great freestyles! ENJOY!

ta0

Feel free to comment on the videos. As a judge I cannot do it, but non-judges can discuss the routines or even root for certain players.
Have fun!

One country didn't sent a routine (Hungary), so we have routines from 10+1 countries.
Only 3 women sent videos and they all have guaranteed at least a medal. Ayame also entered open and youth.

Hi All!

I had such a great time doing my video for the contest! Many thanks go out to my wife who let me go throwing so many times to train for it despite all the open chores left at home ...

so nice to see so many great videos! from the videos I have seen, it is clear, that I have no chance at all, haha, but I knew that before already  :) ... i'm still very happy with my routine, just the quality is really not so good, sorry for that ...

Hope all the others had a good time too for the recording and good luck for the contest!

I very much love all the Mexican contenders, especially Alexander Guzmán and obviously Yahir Ortega. Some of the tricks they do, I maybe hit it once in a while, but they just do them so effortless and smooth, it's so much fun to watch!

ta0

Thanks for representing Germany, unini!

Now you need to organize German Nationals with Ortwin and Jochen  ;D

howdie all !
Well I ve watched all the players

the "mexican" style of play is the most proéminent...it seems..

I think that there is one routine that stands out : it's a mix of bearing tricks and regeneration moves
in addition there is a very clean coordination with the music and a high level of difficulty in many combos+  Quentin' s signature trick at the end

Of course Markus , Yahir and several others are at their top ..
Jun and Nobu are also in my best fives
we'll see how the judges score Bravo à  Tutti
