Beautiful shot! What mountain?

We just made a parting pilgrimage to Rocky Mountain National Park, but alas, no top photos. Though not as high as the highest parts of the Alps, the Colorado Rockies have the highest sustained elevation, not just in the Rockies, but on the entire North American plate, including Alaska!

We'll miss having these mighty mountains nearby.

Yesterday we crossed over from Austria into Italy. The region is called "Trentino".  It is more about the lake here and swimming and such. The Alps are still around us, but "only" in the 2000 meter range.

The skinny Corsican pig looks very cute, almost like a dog. But I looked up Corsican pig to see if they were wild and found out that they can be dangerous:

.... Bella Italia!
Italy is such a TOP country!
It has some of the best in so many categories:
- bearing tip tops (strummol8)
- endurance tops (Iacopo)
- artistic tops (Iacopo)
- spin top festivals (Cremona)
- collectors (?)
-all round TOP persons (Rocco)
- ....

And my son made another discovery in the store when we sent him to get us buns and croissants for breakfast:
He  brought us "spinner battle" tops for my wife and me. 20 cents a piece. The winner of the battle got to eat them both, they are made from chewing gum.
Hey, COLLECTORS do you have something like that already??

I suggested to Rocco to try to boomerang one of those to his tongue instead of to his hat. ;D

Some DIY hors d'oeuvre battle tops with edible rotors centered on toothpicks:
o Stiff slice of round, firm veggie, fruit, or processed meat -- dry salami, chorizo, new (red) potato, beet, turnip, etc.
o Licorice wheel
o Chocolate pastille

Giving the winner both to eat is pure genius. Unless you use a spicy or nasty-tasting rotor -- in which case, the loser eats both.
