The "Aborigen" regeneration by Xisco
« on: February 17, 2020, 12:04:38 PM »

Xisco developed this regen move that he can maintain for a long time and do smoothly. He called it Aborigen or, translated to English, Aboriginal

I really like that the top has the tip down on half of the move and the tip up on the other half. It could be considered like a combo of an orbit and an inner pass, but I think they are blended very well and can be considered a single movement. I need to learn it.

I have looked at this several times.  Each time I find it quite facinating.  Good work Xisco!!!

So cool, and I love how the Spanish is so close to having "Regen" in it. "Regen" is the same in Spanish? I think he was making a play on words.

Yes, it's the same in Spanish (regenerar) and I think you are right about the play on words. It might also have something to do with his dreadlocks  :D

Cuper tells me that he can now do 100 consecutive Aborigen regens 8)
He also send me a video with a regen trick that he came up while practicing this. He basically adds a left arm orbit before the inside sun. But he does not completely point the tip up. The trick flows smoothly. The tops looks like a 3" John Markus. He doesn't have a name for the trick yet. I'll wait for a better video before posting it.

Here is Cuper doing 40 Aborigen regens:

Here he is adding an left-arm half-orbit:

And here he adds an outside sun (orbit - outside sun - inside sun . . . )
