I finally made something that spins!
« on: December 16, 2019, 09:59:56 AM »

Hello folks!
Yesterday I made a small top.  And... it works!
Finally after all those years trying to make something that works, I have succes!
This small top is made of wooden beads,  metal piece,  and a part of an old ingraving pen.  And of course some super glue to keep everything  in place!

Needed to clean it up BEFORE  making a picture,  but could not wait to share my succes  :)

Top in action!

I love this little thing :)

Thank you all  :)
I think I understand how the tops spin,  and used that knowledge to make one!

Excellent!

Always enjoy seeing the tops people make out of found objects. And as a LEGO topmaker, also a big fan of modular top construction.

Agree, a feel for the physics involved really helps these endeavors. Please keep 'em coming!

Made another yesterday  :D
I put two metal washers and a Iron ball together , added some super glue...
It spins like crazy,  but I need to get the hang of this new creation, to let it spin.
