Fixed tip is Life!  :)
But really, not very often.  Dropping a top that rolls under the sofa where all the cat hair collects is a reason to clean things.  Now that the cats have passed away my bearings stay pretty clean.

Thanks!

Trip do like the simplicity of a fixed tip.

Salut Trip !
I'm a bearing-player , and I clean the bearings maybe once a year
unless there is a bizarre rattling sound which indicates some dust

bearing  tops are here to stay  >:D

good day

(LONG SPIN)

Hi Trip!

I find I rarely have to clean them.....because I drop them enough times and wreck the bearings, and I need to replace them!

I bet the great players who never drop, get a lot longer life! ; )

It is always good to have a bearing top around to put in non spinners hands.  They love that and you get a longer spin in their hands with a bearing top.

You can also do the "blow the top to make it gyro flop" trick. A favorite with children.

Oooohhhhh!! Is that how you make it flop?
No wonder it doesn't work for me :-)
