Look what I found in Kensington market today!
« on: October 10, 2019, 02:20:19 AM »

My girlfriend and I were wandering around Kensington market and look what I found! I was pretty surprised since this is the first Top in store I’ve come across since 2001  :o on top of that there were about 7-8! And on top of that I find out it’s world top spinning day?!

Channel Craft inherited the The Toycrafter line of products. I believe they were first distributors for them, but I never could find out what was the deal between them as it happened after Don Olney sold his company to long-time production manager Bruce Hawkes (end of 2002).
Currently on their website I see many finger tops and spinners but no throw tops: Channel Craft: Tops and Spinners.

I have one of those tops in the round container from Channel Craft.  I got it for Christmas from my step-daughter.  She lives in Austin, Texas and I assumed she got it there.  She was quite pleased to find it and for good reason, as I do not ever recall seeing them in many places around here.  Great find, Jack.  But it is an especially great find on world top spinning day!!!
