String?
« on: January 21, 2013, 08:08:41 PM »

Anyone know if there's a store where I can buy string for my tops? Like Wall-mart or Walgreens ?

Get in Touch with Chris Neff,, He is the Sting Maker Master.  Alex is another good source for strings on this forum.

Thanks for the recommendation Michael!
Benito, here is a link to a description of the strings I make:

You can message me through this forum if you are interested.

You may be able to find some acceptable string at a hardware store.  I've used it before, but now that I make my own I won't touch the stuff.  I am a string snob I guess  ;D

Which one?:

Either a STB2 or a Giulia. The STB2 is a bit more "lively on the string" (Chris's words ;)) The Giulia is a bit more "relaxed in the way it plays" Almost everyone will agree that these are the 2 best tops available on the market today. The choice between them is just personal preference. I have both and I tend to use my Giulia to learn tricks and my STB2s for competing.

Where to buy?:

If you are in the US:

If you are in Europe:
Order directly from Maurizio (Mryo on this forum)
or

i think the STB 2.0 and the SOFIA are both great players. the Sofia is extremely precise when performing tricks. as far as the stb 2.0 goes, it is a quick and light. either way you wont be disappointed!!!

This is a pretty old thread. If Chris does not have the time to make string, I have some in stock at my store here:
