Just saw this on kickstarter and thought it might have some appeal to top spinner types.

It's a neat idea. The campaign is at $236,000 raised! Wow!

Not only a fun desktop fidget spinner, but a useful one as well...

Look at the spiraling globe carefully -- very, very carefully...
You are getting sleepy -- very, very sleepy...
When I snap my fingers, the urge to leave my office will become irresistible.

Heck, I'd buy one just for that! Useful on household surfaces, too...

Honey, come over here for a minute.

I had seen the cylindrical spinners on Amazon. Playability pretty low . . .  ::)
I guess these are couch potato tops  :P

Was that the VORTECON? Pretty cool, but I like the MEZMOGLOBE better.

Agree, the MEZMOGLOBE and VORTECON are both pretty limited as playthings per se. But perhaps still useful as desktop fidgets -- and not just as mind-control aids. Studies show that many people use fidgets of various kinds to relax and concentrate while working -- often unknowingly, and often with real benefits in productivity and work stress levels.

Paper clips and pens used to be the most common fidgets. I can easily imagine (1) the MEZMOGLOBE serving the same purpose, and (2) buyers coming for the visual experience and staying for the tactile.

No, those have a globe floating inside a clear ball with a very small gap of liquid. I believe they self-rotate pushing against the earth magnetic field and are powered by ambient light.
The Mezmoglobe just has a bearing point base.

Yep! Both created by the same guy, Kristoph Krisjan. He has created other desktop fidgets. I'm not sure where is he based.
