Second and last raffle of the year. Just 50 tickets!!!

ITSA is a non-profit association (registered in the state of Texas, USA) and its purpose is:
To promote the sport, game, art and hobby of playing with spinning tops, a universal toy.

As every year, ITSA would like to support spintop festivals, contests and other spintop related activities around the world. I think the main reason to buy tickets should be to contribute to the grow of the spintop community. But you may also get compensated with some nice prizes if you are lucky!

You DO NOT have to be an ITSA member: anybody can buy tickets.

There are two prizes. The first winner can chose either one. The second winner takes the other one.

1st prize, from SpinGear, the most advanced koma ever, the NSK Micro Precision Bearing Koma, designed by Takahiko Hasegawa:





The value of the bearing koma is about $140 plus shipping from Japan.

The second prize is a large working plunge antique top which is also a cookie tin box, from the collection of Cyril Mermilliod:





Optional prize: there is also a secret prize that you can swap for your prize. It's a great playing prototype from a well known and highly regarded company. But I cannot disclose it publicly because they may get upset.

RAFFLE RULES:

Only 50 tickets from 00 to 49 at $10 each!
Tickets will be available for purchase starting NOW,  July 22nd, until the drawing date (10 days).
The ticket numbers will be distributed in chronological order.
You will be notified of your ticket number(s) as soon as possible and the list of tickets sold will be periodically posted on this thread.
The closing time is 2 hours before the drawing.

Payment

Send Paypal payments to treasurer@spintops.org. For example, a payment of $20 will be assigned two consecutive numbers.  You do not need to have a Paypal account, you can also pay with credit cards on their website (www.paypal.com).
If you are in the US and prefer to pay by check, you can also do so (send me a pm or email top (at) ta0.com for the address). Checks received after the closing time or after all the tickets have been sold will be destroyed without cashing.

Prize selection

The owner of the first ticket drawn will be able to chose among the 3 prizes the one he/she prefers (I will share the alternative secret prize with him/her at that time). The second ticket will chose among the 2 remaining prizes.

Drawing

The winning ticket will be determined as follows, based on the Texas Pick-3 game from the Texas Lottery, to be held on Wednesday August 1st at 10:00 AM CDT. The official website for the game is: www.txlottery.org/export/sites/default/Games/Pick_3 where you can watch the drawing live.  Note that there are 4 drawing per day and this would be the first one.

The FIRST TWO numbers of the drawing will form the digits of the winning number. However, if the resulting number is between 50 and 99, the number 50 should be subtracted to determine the winning ticket between 00 and 49. For example, if the drawing is 3-3-8 the winning ticket would be 33, if it is 0-9-2 the winner is 09, if it is 7-7-5 the winner is 27 (i.e., 77 minus 50). If not all tickets are sold and there is no winner, the following Pick-3 game will be used (that same day) and so forth if necessary.

The second prize will be determined in the same way by the following Pick-3 games after the previous prize has been won. So, if all tickets are sold, the 2 prizes will be given based on the Morning and Day Pick-3 drawings of June 12th.

For example if the drawings are:
August 1st drawing: Pick 3 (morning): 6-7-6, Pick 3 (day): 4-5-1
then the winners would be:
1st _  17
2nd_ 45

We have decided to postpone this raffle until later in the year (probably after Miamisburg).
There was little initial interest and in addition I'm very busy right now to push this. Jim had suggested that we delayed it, but I tried to go ahead anyway.
But now I think it will be better to wait.
I'm sorry for those that wanted to buy tickets. But we might add another prize when we relaunch it, so you'll have a better chance of winning.

up to

800$ for worlds
400$ for US national

it includes help for players , trophies and the rest

that's the way  ITSA use the raffle's money to support the gyroscopic actions
