New wooden Spintop made by Japanese Koma artist.
« on: May 17, 2018, 01:13:14 AM »

Japanese style Spintop.

Made by camellia wood, very heavy weight.

We have similar Koma as spintop, but no step for string,so use fat string to spin.

This is called "Tonbo".Weight center balance in high,so easy to stand up after attacked. Desgined for battle top.

When i saw this,I asked to artist to make Japanese style spintop.

He also made Wooden Chonkake Koma.

Spingear has become a great source of tops!  :)

This is called "Tonbo".
I knew them as Higo Koma, which is also the title of the spingear page. Is higo koma a more generic name and tonbo more specific?
