i came accross this article in a populer mechanics shopnotes reprint last night and i thought it might be interesting information for top makers eh  ;) no idea if this makes sense, ive noticed some fairly sketchy things in those shopnotes, their willy nilly attitudes towards what i know to be very dangerous chemicals is slightly concerning @-@ anyway let me know if this works or makes any sense at all eh  ;D

Makes sense to me. To cut the inside cleanly, you're re-enforcing the thin walls from the outside by winding string around the piece. First thing I thought of was a goblet where you want the cup to be very thin walled (for some reason).

I have had to do this while cutting large parts with thin walls. I've used rubber line and even a watter hose. You wrap the hose around the part then fill the line with watter. This stops the vibration. I've cut parts as big as a house. I worked at Westinghouse for five years. One horizontal had about 400 inches travel.
