I saw some other videos of these on YT, and somebody got all bent out of shape over a Bey Blade reference. Hopefully I didn't offend you! I wasn't equating their merits...

haha!!! no worries i wasnt offended at all  ;D i think beyblades are kind of cool actually, infact i recently downloaded seasons 1,2,3   ::)
top that off i recently subbed to beybladegeeks on youtube lol  ;D

Very nice, Jack!  I have a question though. 

How is it determined which top is spun first for each battle?  Does the order of "entry" into the arena seem to make a difference in the outcome?  I would think that one or the other may benefit from some type of advantage, based on the order thrown....

i generally throw them alternatly each round, or soemtimes i throw the victor from the first round first on the second. as far as outcome goes ive noticed that despite throwing them in the same order round after round one tends to get very different results  :o i try throwing them as quick in succesion that i can to even it out somewhat  :-\
actually i have a video that i have to edit that illustrates the phenomenon that the first thrown doesnt always loose
