"Jack's Journey-Grind"
« on: December 03, 2014, 03:51:16 AM »

been working on this trick for awhile now (i hope this is in fact new  :P) and im very pleased to present: the "journey-Grind". i call it that because of the journey it must take back and forth on the tips of the fingers of both hands in the horizontal plane (a minimum of over to the non throw hand and back to the original throw hand). this my friends is a fixed tip trick to truly be called a "Journey-Grind". wwwwwwhata ya think boys?  ;D

top used: QSH fixed tip ("C" tip)

Wow!  8) That is new, as far as I know. Showy and impressive!

Actually, the bearing version would also be a nice trick. Perhaps you should rename it Jack's Journey (JJ) so there would be a fixed and a bearing version.

Jack: you can obviously also claim the bearing version, as it is easier. I was proposing Jack's Journey to leave out the "Grind" so it could be applied in both cases. But of course, you can call the fixed-tip version Jack's Journey Grind if you wish.

whats this last manouver called?
« Reply #15 on: January 25, 2015, 04:34:18 PM »

so i came accross 2 variations over the weekend to finish a "journey-grind" in the hand, the problem is when i went to add the title caption to this variation i relized i dont know what its called and i dont want to step on anyones toes as it were by randomly calling it something and not taking the time to ask. so my question is: the last manouver in this video as the top grinds for the third time, where it curls above the hand correcting the preccession and ending vertical in the hand, whats the name of that manouver?

I would just call the full trick Journey-grind variation or Journey-grind-extended. I like it.

so i came accross 2 other ending variations for this trick over the weekend and figured it would be a practical idea to show them in use, they end in the palm instead of having to be caught with the string again making it a good ending to a freestyle if theres enough spin left, i hope the video is clear enough.
