I had occasion to visit Vidler's 5 & 10 in East Aurora, NY, last week. I was pleased to find that they sell some spin tops! They carry Duncan Imperials and Duncan Rip Cords (I bought one of those!).
They also sell a wooden top, apparently of the same design that Don Olney produced so many of in years past. I bought two of those, but was disappointed to find that one had a poorly fitted tip. Don looked at it, and was very displeased with their "quality control". That one will have to be returned to the store and exchanged, which means more than a two hour round trip!
At any rate, back to Vidler's I go tomorrow....
