I know so little about the tour this year.  Do you know much about any favorites to follow?

Kittel from Germany won the last stage.  Nibali of Italy is right in there and is a 9 to 1 favorite to win the Tour.  Froome of GB is the defending champ and the top favorite to win again, although he fell in the last stage.  Contador of Spain is the next in line of favorites, just ahead of Nibali.

I cannot believe the defending champion is out so early.  Of course, I cannot also believe that LeBron James is coming back to Cleveland to play basketball for the Cavaliers!!!

So, Contador is now "clean"?  Is now La Tour mostly clean or have they just changed the doping protocols?  :-\

I don't know what's all brouhaha about LeBron going to Cleveland. They don't hold a candle against the Spurs  :P
Actually, in two or three years they could be very good.

The Spurs are great.  They keep doing it one way or another.  Cleveland dreams of being a bit like them.  We will see if they can do it.

Now Alberto Contador has crashed and is out of the tour.  Wow!

I can't believe Jim did not mention Tony Gallopin of France now with the yellow jersey and the overall lead.  Italy's Vincenzo Nibali is second.

This is my fifth post about the tour and that is from an American.  The great French legend only has two posts despite the fact that his country has three riders in the top seven and the USA only has one.  Thanks for not rubbing that in, Jim, but I miss your insights on the Tour de France!!!

Mike: Jim said that he was going to follow from the garden in Ajaccio. So he is away from civilization and the internet, probably for the next 6 weeks of a long European vacation. But I am sure he has his tops and will be working hard to make the beaches of Corsica less top-less  ;)

Nibali is the man.  He won the stage yesterday and increased his lead to 7:10!!!  Pinot of France rode well and finished second on the last stage but still lost ground to Nibali.  France also is in 3rd and 5th.  Wow!  Nice depth but right now Italy is number one.
