Cool! 8)

Making your own tops is very rewarding whether they vibrate or not.  :)

What did you use for a tip?

Nice going Flavio!  8)
I hope this is the first of many to be made by you.  :)
What type of wood did you use?
It appears to be a top with good weight.

Thank you for posting your creation. :)

For a top made without a lathe ("machadada" sounds like using a machete, correct?) it spins well.  You can even do wire walker!  Good job!

Thanks Larry, Ta0, Crazy, and Earl, I did more to see if it worked, I used the tip as a nail used in normal wooden tops, it was not balanced and vibrates a little but as I became more possible by hand until acceptable I'll try to make a wooden spinning top Chinese if it works I'll post the result.
NOTE: "Na Machadada" is a term used for not making the top with a wood lathe, used knife, sandpaper belt and bandsaw to mark and chop.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!  That good with out a lathe.  Outstanding!  With a lathe some of mine are not that good and need balancing, well done.  Have fun with it.

Years ago I took a section from a branch and whittled out a top with my knife.  It did not spin very well at first but I kept cutting small sections from it and started added seconds to its spin.  I eventually got it over a minute and fondly look at it today as a fun project.  You can balance your top better than you can imagine.

Jim did in a compact timber called "Pinus" but here in Brazil but very light and easy to chop but it scratches easily but also as the first project was also nice to think of the battle ....
