Larry is a nice friend to have  ;)

Playing on the string with a koma is always fun.

He, he.  That spike top would never pass European toy safety regulations  :P

Nice!  Are you throwing the Koma with the tip pointing up as you would throw a regular top?  The Japanese seem to always demonstrate the throw with the tip down so there is no 180 degree flip of the top.

It is my first koma. I remembered that there was a video in youtube that was explaining like to tie the rope of a koma, but I could not wait and tied it as a normal top..... ;D ;D

I am impressed that you could force the Koma to flip.  If I throw it the peg top way I typically catch it up-side-down.

???????????? "How to spin a top"

for easy reference this youtube channel has a lot of koma videos

my bookmark for the Japanese komaspace webpage no longer links to a viable site. :'(

I've tried a lot of string lengths with those Koma.  Seems most natural to me to try to throw similar to my standard peg tops.  Easier said than done. ;)

They are a challenge for sure!  Enjoy!

Trompillo, I love the Komas also, very cool the new tops.

Larry D. is a very generous person and his intermediate I was also honored with various tops, thanks to today because he has shown me the tops of Duncan, S8, Premier, Spintastic, Koma among others, and for taking some tops that I made to stay in your collection. Thanks Larry for the friendship ...
