The user Trompillo on Pulp's forum posted this homemade button for easy adjustment of the string length:



Over 20 cm (8 inches) of string can be stored inside the button.

Nice invention! I wonder what it weighs?  Did I read it's handmade of brass?

Wonderful idea!  I think it would be too heavy for my taste for regeneration play, but I would definitely use them for other purposes.

Yes, it is made out of brass and it is 1 inch in diameter. He says he used a blow torch and a file to make it.
