Hi Jim,
A clothesline rope works fine,
I am not a proficient top thrower.
i ownly throw at the nationals in the
battle top contest that Alan puts on.
(more fun than a barrel of monkeys)
I would need a pro like Eric , Alan, Jorge,etc.
to throw it, but am am sure it would work fine.

Alan and I have thrown the Great Bambino (now resident at the museum in Chico)....Alan, how much does Bambino weigh?

I never did weigh the Bambino. I'm thinking 8 or 9 pounds.

Maybe someone at the museum can weigh it.

Your bowling ball is going to be a real challenge to boomerang. I am sure it is going to be a great incentive for Mike Hout to come to nats this year (he likes to juggle bowling balls).

I wish I could be there and try it!  It looks so great.

But I heard ta0 has been on a new exercise routine and has been lifting weights so he will be ready to take on the bowling ball top challenge.  I am anxious to hear how he does with it!

I had that bowling top in my hands and there is no way anybody could boomerang it.  Even if you summon the strength to get it back to your hand, the pointy tip coupled with its weight will punch a hole in the thickest leather glove
